Certified Nursing Assistants Complete Training from Carroll Community College
Four Carroll Community College students marked completion of their training to become Certified Nursing Assistants on May 10, 2007, with a ceremony at the college.
Kimberly Hazlett, Robin Housman, Mandy Lynne-Rojas, and Crystal Wolf received pins and certificates. They are now eligible for certification in the state of Maryland.
Dr. Faye Pappalardo, College President; Karen Merkle, Vice President, Continuing Education and Training; and Beverly Spicknall, RN, Nursing Assistant instructor awarded the pins and certificates. The student speaker was Robin Housman.
Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center was the clinical site used for training this class. The 132-hour course comprises both classroom and clinical work. It includes learning patient care skills, infection control, disease processes, and safety procedures.
