Certified Nursing Assistants Recognized in Pinning Ceremony
Seven Carroll Community College students marked completion of their training to become Certified Nursing Assistants on June 20, 2007 with a pinning ceremony at the college.
Robert Carmack, Amy Green, Stephanie Higgins, Pamela Klemm, Teresa Monheit, Grace Xavier, and Melanie Young received pins and recognition. They are now eligible for certification in the state of Maryland.
Karen Merkle, Vice President, Continuing Education and Training, opened the ceremony with welcoming remarks. Nursing assistant instructors Beverly Spicknall, RN, and Pamela Haines, RN awarded the pins and certificates. The student speaker was Robert Carmack.
Carroll Lutheran Village Health Care Center was the clinical site used for training this class. The 132-hour course comprises both classroom and clinical work. It includes learning patient care skills, infection control, disease processes, and safety procedures.
