"Edward Maiello: Secrets of the Wind" Art Exhibit
Held at Carroll Community College
Rhode Island-born and MICA/UMBC-educated, Edward Maiello paints about his relationship to the world and people around him. His exhibit titled "Secrets of the Wind" will be held Sunday, Oct. 28 through Friday, Dec. 7, 2007 in the Langdon Gallery.
Maiello uses imagery that is deeply rooted in Surrealism, science fiction, psychedelia, cartoons and pop culture. He nurtures the spiritual in his works, something he feels separates them from illustration and kitsch. Intensely colorful, these paintings will delight and compel.
"Promoting the Fine and Performing Arts is a major priority at Carroll Community College," said College President Dr. Faye Pappalardo. "I strongly believe that the caliber and variety of fine arts events at Carroll make the college a cultural arts destination for county residents and workers, as well as visitors to the area."
Carroll Community College is located at 1601 Washington Rd. in Westminster, Md.
