Carroll Community College Sponsors Book Discussion :
Maus: A Survivor's Tale with Art Spiegelman
The Carroll Community College library in partnership with McDaniel College's Hoover library and the Carroll County Public Library is promoting the Modern Marvels, a series of book discussions on Jewish literature in the graphic novel form.
On Thursday, Nov. 1 from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m., a discussion will focus on the graphic novels Maus I and Maus II, which tell the story of a Jewish survivor of Hitler's Europe and his son, a cartoonist. A graphic novel is a story or stories told in the comic book format but usually with a lengthy and complex plot and often aimed at mature audiences.
The discussion will be held in the Board Room of Carroll Community College. It is free and open to the public.
