Fast forward to spring this winter by signing up for a lifelong learning class at Carroll Community College's Sykesville Center. The following are some featured courses:
Basic Spanish

Operating Your Digital Camera
You've switched from film to digital photography. What are all those buttons and settings, and when should you use them to get the best images? Learn to understand the camera and how it works, distinguish between automatic settings, and determine the best type of settings to use for different situations. Hands-on practice during class provides a deeper understanding, familiarity, and ease of camera operation. Bring your digital camera and manual to class. Take pictures with confidence and consistency!
Steve Solomon, professional photographer and owner of S.V. Solomon Photography, brings 14 years of photography experience to his teaching. He helps students understand and create strong photographs, using the latest techniques.

Focus your attention on the heavens and learn more about the solar system, stars, galaxies and planets. Identify the traditional constellations and name stars with both the naked eye and telescopic observations.
