Registered Nurse Scheduled to Speak at Carroll Community College
Danielle Dinsmore, a registered nurse with the State of Maryland, will be a featured classroom speaker on April 7 at 2 p.m. in Room P520. The community is invited to the talk.
Dinsmore has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Villa Julie College and expects to graduate with a Master of Science, Family Nurse Practitioner in spring, 2009. Past employers include Greater Baltimore Medical Center, Sheppard Pratt Health Systems, and Union Memorial Hospital.
Dinsmore plans to share with the class how she chose a major for college and why she chose a career in health care, "Now that I have worked what do I think about my journey?" she asked. "What I am doing is making my job more rewarding."
The employment outlook in her field is that most students in her master's class will secure a job in the field upon graduation, at high salaries.
"My advice to students is to never stop learning, exploring, or challenging yourself to do more and be better," she said.
