Carroll Community College Alerts Residents
to Unauthorized Solicitations
Carroll Community College has received several reports of an individual visiting Carroll County residences and asking for donations to support a college soccer team trip to Europe. The college is not sponsoring a soccer team trip to Europe. The individual asking for donations is not representing the college.
In another case, an individual approached a resident and claimed to be a student in a communications class who was seeking a donation on behalf of the college.
Authorized college solicitations are typically handled by the Foundation Office or the Office of the President. Door-to-door solicitations are not sanctioned by the college.
Anyone approached by an individual claiming to represent a student soccer team or communications class at the college may contact his or her local law enforcement agency.
