Carroll Community College Announces Spring Schedule of Fine and Performing Arts Events

 

Westminster, Md., Jan. 19, 2010-Carroll Community College is proud to serve the community as a fine and performing arts destination for music, fine arts, and theatre events. Many exciting events are planned for this spring through the Department of Fine and Performing Arts.

Music
"Selections from the Music Department were chosen to highlight the talent of faculty and community musicians. This is the first time we will be highlighting our advanced students in the recital series," said Director of Music Eli Wirth.

Performances are in the Theater in the Scott Center, unless otherwise noted.

Visual Art
"Carroll Community College is proud to present a variety of fine art exhibitions by both students and regional artists," said Chair of the Fine and Performing Arts Scott Gore.

Between September and May, the college hosts art exhibits in a wide variety of media and styles. Exhibits are held in The Gallery in the Scott Center, The Babylon Great Hall, and The Langdon Family Gallery. The college hosts opening receptions for selected exhibitors. The college community and the public are invited to attend, free of charge.
