Carroll Community College Announces
Adult Basic Education Screenings and Classes

 

Westminster, Md., Feb. 18, 2010--Carroll Community College offers the National External Diploma Program, which provides an alternate route for obtaining a high school diploma for adults over age 18.  A pre-screening session to determine program eligibility will be held on Wednesday, March 10 at 9 a.m. and Thursday, March 11 at 6 p.m. at 224 North Center Street, Westminster, MD  21157.  There is no charge for the pre-screening. Tuition for the program is $120.  Limited financial assistance is available for students who qualify.  Please call 410-386-2550 for information and to register for a pre-screening session.

Registration will be held for the college's spring family literacy classes.  Free classes are open to parents interested in improving their English-language skills.  Early childhood education is available for children of participating parents.  Registration will be held at Robert Moton Elementary School the week of March 1 or  Human Services Programs' (HSP) Family Center the week of March 22.  For more information, call 410-386-2550.
