Carroll Community College Offers Summer Opera Performance

Westminster, Md., Carroll Community College will offer a summer performance of the opera Die Fledermaus by Johann Strauss.

The performance will be held on Aug. 4 and 6 at 7:30 p.m. in the Theater in the Scott Center. Performers include Rebecca Bell as Rosalinda; Peter Burroughs as Eisenstein; Sarah Howes as Adele; George Wilkerson as Alfred; Gabriel Kirby as Dr. Blind; Jason Buckwalter as Dr. Falke; Kimberly Christie as Sally; and Madelyn Wanner as Prince Orlofsky. The director is Bill Gillett and the conductor is Elijah Wirth.

The opera is a comedy based on mistaken identity and revenge. This is the fourth production of an opera during the summer at Carroll Community College. Students and faculty are part of the production.

Tickets will be available the day of the event at the box office at the Theater in the Scott Center.
