Carroll Community College Offers Conference on Serving Seniors
Westminster, Md., Carroll Community College will offer a conference called “Serving Seniors: What Professionals Need to Know.” The conference will be held on May 10, 2012 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the college, which is located at 1601 Washington Rd.
The cost is $25 for Carroll County residents; $30 for out of county residents; and $35 for out of state residents.
The keynote presentation in room K 100 will be “The Longevity Revolution: Be Part of the Solution!” by mediator, trainer, teacher, coach Carolyn J. Rodis, J.D., M.A.
Workshops include:
- Opportunities and Challenges in Elder Mediation
- Mental Health and Well-Being in Later Life
- Elder Abuse
- The Difference Between Life and Death: Powers of Attorney and Guardianships vs. Wills
Participants can earn 1.5 clock hours of social work C.E.Us.
