Carroll Community College Presents Performances of “Spring Awakening”
Westminster, Md., -- Carroll Community College will present performances of the musical “Spring Awakening” on Thursday, March 14 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m.; Saturday, March 16 at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday, March 17 at 2:00 p.m.; Thursday, March 21 at 7:30 p.m. and Friday, March 22 at 7:30 p.m.
Performances will be held in the Theater in the Scott Center . Tickets cost $15 for general admission and $10 for senior adults, faculty, staff and students with ID.
“Spring Awakening” is the winner of eight TONY Awards, including best musical. “Spring Awakening” celebrates the unforgettable journey from youth to adulthood with a power, poignancy, and passion that you will never forget. Adapted from Frank Wedekind's 1891 expressionist play about the trials, tears, and exhilaration of the teen years, this play was hailed "Best Musical of the Year" by the New York Times, New York Post, Star Ledger, Journal News, New York Observer, and USA Today.
This play contains mature themes and content, and is not recommended for children.
The “Spring Awakening” book and lyrics are by Steven Sater. Music is by Duncan Sheik. Performances at Carroll Community College are directed by Bill Gillett.
