The Office of Institutional Research (IR) serves to contextualize data and inform the decision-making of institutional leaders. The office aims to achieve this by maintaining objectivity, appropriately assessing user needs, sustaining data integrity, analyzing and interpreting data, and transforming data into information. IR endeavors to benefit Carroll Community College students and further higher education by continually leading the institutional research community with innovative approaches. To achieve our mission, we strive to meet the following goals:

• Uphold and ensure accountability to the college's stakeholders
• Maintain and monitor institutional effectiveness indicators
• Support learning outcomes assessment
• Serve as a clearinghouse for campus statistics
• Design and conduct research studies in support of policy decisions
• Administer surveys to appropriate populations
• Conduct market needs assessment for program development
• Fulfill state and federal reporting requirements
