The CompTIA A+ Certification course is a good first step in preparing for a career as an entry-level information technology (IT) professional or personal computer (PC) service technician.
This instructor led, group-paced, online course provides plenty of hands-on activities for you to acquire the essential skills and information needed to install, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize and perform preventative maintenance of basic personal computer hardware and operating systems. It also prepares you for the CompTIA A+ Certification exams.
The online class provides many of the lessons, materials and labs via the Web, and offers plenty of instructor interaction from the online classroom and four on-campus sessions.
To enroll in the course, you must have a personal computer with Internet access, be familiar with Windows based personal computers and components, be able to search on the Internet, and understand file management in Windows (cut, copy, paste and rename files). Broadband Internet access is recommended.
Instructor Robert Keller is a computer repair and network technician with over 15 years of field experience. He holds CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+ and Dell Certified Systems Expert (DCSE) certifications.
