Diagnose your computer to make sure that you have a computer that meets the minimum requirements for easy access to Carroll's online courses.
All credit courses at Carroll, distance (online and hybrid) AND classroom-based, have a Blackboard component. Blackboard is the name of the e-learning system used at Carroll.
If you are taking a classroom-based course and do not have access to a computer, you are encouraged to use one of the many computers in our computer labs or library.
Carroll Community College is an active participant in Maryland Online. Carroll's membership in Maryland Online enables Carroll students' to take selected courses that are offered by partner colleges. The student registers at Carroll and pays Carroll's tuition. The course is recorded on the student's transcript as a Carroll course.
Maryland Online (MOL) courses that have been selected by Carroll can be found within the schedule of classes. They are marked "courses originating at other Maryland community colleges."
Orientation information will be US mailed to registered students beginning approximately one month prior to the beginning of the semester.
