The Penguin Random House Book Fair is devoted to literacy and education, and helps raise much needed funding for Carroll's students.



Friday, March 6
1 - 4:30 p.m. - Senior Adult Afternoon

Featuring discounted book sales, workshops and exhibits.

4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. - Book Fair Movie Night, "Big Hero 6"

Purchase tickets in advance by calling 410-386-8168, Monday - Thursday, March 2 - 5 from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Tickets will be available at the Theater Box Office beginning at 4 p.m. on Friday, March 6.

 

Saturday, March 7
9 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Food, fun and entertainment for all ages. Free to the public

  • Discounted new book sales (Great Hall)
  • Concessions (end of Great Hall)
  • Silent Auction - bidding begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. (Great Hall)
  • Free children's books - while supplies last (L281)
  • Children's Activities - ages 2 through 6, wrist bands required (Student Center and Gym)
  • STEM Activities - children grades 2 through 7, wrist bands required (A015 and A013) 

Activity Schedule

9 a.m. - Disney's "Frozen" sing-a-long (Theater in the Scott Center)

9:45 a.m. - Book talk: Penguin Random House author, Sally Lloyd-Jones (M157)

11:15 a.m. - Book talk: Penguin Random House author, Kate Alcott (M157)

Noon - Children's story time, hosted by the Carroll County Public Library (L284)

1 p.m. - Professor Wizard's Wonders of Science (Theater in the Scott Center)

2 p.m. - Children's story time, hosted by the Carroll County Public Library (L284)

2:30 p.m. - Student writing contest winners read (Theater in the Scott Center)

3:30 p.m. - Silent auction winners announced (Great Hall)

4 p.m. - Annual Penguin Random House Book Fair ends
