Foundation Initiatives

Endowments

Endowed Scholarships

With a gift of at least $25,000, donors can create a named, endowed scholarship fund to assist students on the basis of academic achievement, financial need, and/or program of study. These endowed funds exist in perpetuity, ensuring that the gift will make a real difference in the lives of promising students for years to come. The scholarships carry the name selected by the donor.

Founders’ Endowment Fund

With the inauguration of the Carroll Founder’s Endowment Fund, the college took a major step toward ensuring the future. It will provide funds in perpetuity, allowing the college to respond to rapid or unforeseen changes. Monies that accrue are used to assist students, to build faculty and program development, to sponsor cultural activities, and to expand other college-related general programs.

Scholarships

Yearly Scholarships

Many local clubs, organizations and businesses give scholarship money annually with the stipulation that it be used in the year it is received. For an annual commitment of as little as $500, an individual or organization may have a fund named for them.

Have a Seat Campaign

Seats Still Available!

In the fall of 2002, Carroll Community College opened the doors to the county’s newest cultural arts venue, the Robert A. and Phyllis B. Scott Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. Since that time the Scott Center has entertained the community with a variety of performances for all ages!

The Carroll Community College Foundation’s “Have a Seat Campaign” continues to be an excellent opportunity to become a part of the excitement that the Scott Center regularly provides. By purchasing a naming opportunity in the theater in the Scott Center you will support the Founder’ Endowed Fund, a critical fund that supports the mission and initiatives of the College.

A gift to the Have a Seat Campaign will be acknowledged with an engraved brass plaque to be affixed to the seat you select in the theater. The plaque will bear your name or that of a friend or loved one whom you wish to honor. In addition, you will be recognized on the Donor Wall in the Scott Center.

For more information on the “Have a Seat Campaign” contact the Foundation Office at 410-386-8152.
