Send your high school transcript showing graduation and official transcripts for all completed college coursework. In addition, to earn credit for AP coursework, send official transcripts from Educational Testing Services.
Schedule and take your placement tests by calling the Admissions Office at 410-386-8430. If you have a disability, request special accommodations prior to scheduling your tests from the Office of Support Services at 410-386-8329.
Visit Financial Aid online or speak with a staff member in A114 to learn about scholarships, grants, veteran’s benefits and the FACTS payment plan. Processing of the FAFSA form, which is required for Maryland State and Federal Aid as well as many scholarships, takes several weeks, so apply early!
The deadline for filing the FAFSA for Maryland State Aid is March 1 for the following fall term.
If you have completed 12 credits at another college/university, scored above 550 on the verbal, reading or math SAT, or 21 on the verbal, reading or math ACT, you may be eligible to bypass some or all of the placement tests.
Send official documentation to the college and consult with an Admissions Adviser in A101. Walk-in assistance is available Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Admissions Office.
Your Online Pre-Advising session is a self-paced, online tutorial that you complete independently. Upon completing this session, you are required to pass an online quiz and bring a completed registration form to the Advising and Transfer Center (A102) for final approval.
New students need to complete the registration process after the successful completion of the Online Pre-Advising session and quiz. An academic advisor's signature is required.
Transfer students may download a credit registration form. Printed forms are also available in Credit Course Schedule. Submit your completed registration form to the Records and Registration Office (A114).
Returning students who have previously taken classes at Carroll may register online.
Registration forms are processed daily Monday - Thursday from 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m. and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. - 4 p.m.
