Special Opportunities
As a Carroll student, you may take advantage of opportunities at the following four-year institutions.
Hood College
Take a free course at every term including summer.
Eligibility requirements:
- a full-time student at Carroll
- met course prerequisites
- exchange course is not available at Carroll during the chosen term
Procedures:
- Search for and select a course at Hood College.
- Obtain the Authorization for Attendance at Another Institution form from Carroll's Advising and Transfer Center in room A-102.
- Obtain signatures from Carroll's Department Chair and Registrar.
- Provide your Carroll transcript to Hood College.
McDaniel College
A one-time opportunity to take a course for the price of a Carroll course.
Eligibility requirements:
- earned at least 24 credits
- have at least a 2.5 G.P.A.
- enrolled in at least nine Carroll credits during the chosen semester
Procedures:
- Search for and select a course at McDaniel College.
- Obtain the Authorization for Attendance at Another Institution form from Carroll's Advising and Transfer Center in room A-102.
- Obtain signatures from Carroll's Department Chair and Registrar.
- Provide your form to McDaniel's Registrar's office for enrollment.
Shippensburg University
Carroll graduates looking to complete their studies at Shippensburg University receive a substantial tuition discount by enrolling in the Dual Admissions Program.
To qualify for this program, consult with a Carroll advisor and complete the Dual Enrollment Application before completing 30 credits, and review Shippensburg's Overview for Transfer Students to plan your coursework.
Elementary Education majors should choose Carroll's Arts & Sciences degree program and follow Shippensburg's course recommendations.
