Get to Know the Office of Student Support Services

The Office of Student Support Services strives to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities.

The Office works with faculty and staff at Carroll Community College to ensure that reasonable accommodations are made to allow all students an equitable opportunity in the classroom and around the campus.

While we provide reasonable accommodations, Carroll encourages students to develop self-accommodating skills and learn to self-advocacate in preparation for the world of employment.

Getting to Know You

When you need us, let us know. Unlike high school, we do not have access to any of your disability information. Students need to identify themselves to us to allow for preadmission counseling and for the provision of reasonable accommodations. This should be done as early as possible and no later than three weeks before classes start. To access services, students must meet with a staff member in the Office of Student Support Services which is located in Room L289F.

Affirmative Action, Equal Opportunity

Carroll is an affirmative action, equal opportunity institution. The Office serves students under the auspices of the office of Academic and Student Affairs, in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990.
