Student Notification of Disability
If you are a student with a disability, it is your responsibility to self disclose to theOffice of Student Support Services when requesting accommodations/services. Call 410-386-8329 (TDD 410-876-2419) or stop by room L289F.
The process for requesting possible accommodations includes the following:
- Provide the Office of Student Support Services with a current copy (within past five years) of documentation verifying the disability before making an appointment. Include your name on your current documentation. If you have been out of school and your documentation is older than five years, call 410-386-8329 for additional information.
- Call 410-386-8329 and make an appointment.
- Meet with the staff and discuss possible accommodations. Each student's need is considered individually.
You should communicate you request for accommodations at least three weeks prior to the start of the term to allow the staff enough time to review the documentation and to determine reasonable accommodations. Specific needs, such as an interpreter for the hearing-impaired, may not be met in a timely manner if the request is not made at least three weeks prior to the start of a term.
