The Mission Which Drives Us
Carroll Community College is committed to providing equal access to its programs, facilities, and services for students with disabilities, in accordance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
The college offers an array of support services and accommodations that are post-secondary appropriate, and are coordinated by the Office of Student Support Services.
The Office of Student Support Services:
- Promotes the success, dignity and independence of students with disabilities; helps to develop awareness of disability-related needs, self-advocacy strategies, and encourages the development of good academic behavior.
- Works with students with disabilities and other professionals to determine the need and the facilitation of reasonable accommodations and support services.
- Collaborates to educate faculty, staff, and others in respect to students with disabilities.
