College Services & Resources

Carroll offers services and resources that help students work through their academic challenges with the faculty and staff rather than relying on you to intervene. Research shows that when students are involved in their college life, both academically and socially, they are more likely to succeed.

Students should attend the First Advising SessionNew Student Orientation and transfer fairs. They should also take advantage of academic advising every semester; meet with their instructors regularly and seek tutoring, if appropriate; visit the Carroll Web site to learn about activities, clubs and organizations; seek career counseling for major/career-related issues; use the Student Handbook to help with time management and to stay abreast of events and activities ; read the Credit Class Schedule and note important dates .

Above all, they need to manage the college experience on their own, as much as possible, one step at a time.
