The position of TESTING CENTER SPECIALIST is available in the Student Affairs Division.  This position is on a full-time, 12-month basis, working under the supervision of the Assistant Registrar.

FUNCTION: Responsible for the evening operation of the Testing Center and serves for the administrator for commercial software programs. Specific responsibilities include: serving as Site Administrator for exam programs (Accuplacer, Pearson VUE, CLEP, etc.) and maintaining proctor/administrator certification as required; monitoring students during sign-in and checks identification; creating and maintaining a secure testing environment; administering reading, English, and math placement tests; complying with retest policies, using Ellucian Colleague system, as necessary; maintaining file of credit and non-credit make-up tests from instructors; administering tests according to faculty requirements (make-up tests as well as distance learning tests.); proctoring exams for other colleges and universities according to the guidelines provided by that institution; maintaining monthly and yearly outcome statistics; answering inquiries about college procedures and policies, making appropriate referrals and performing other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:  Bachelor’s degree required. Knowledge of file management, internet, word processing, and spreadsheet software in Windows environment required. Prior relevant testing/proctoring experience and administrative skills with proprietary software strongly preferred. Availability to work evenings and Saturdays required.

SCHEDULE: Monday – Thursday 12 – 8:30 p.m. and Saturday 8 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

SALARY: Grade 9 on the 12-month Salary Scale. Minimum starting salary range $39,915 with actual salary placement based on credentials. Position includes excellent fringe benefit package.
