The position of ASSISTANT
REGISTRAR is available in the Student Affairs Division. This position is on a full-time, 12-month
basis reporting to the Senior Director of Records and Student Data Analytics.
Responsible for providing direct support in the areas of academic
records and registration. Specific
responsibilities include: assisting Registrar in managing aspects of records
and registration, including but limited to: correcting duplicate records
and communicating with effected students; managing the document imaging
process; maintaining the Records Office information on the college web site
using the college’s content management system; writing SIS rules to manage student
registration behavior; working across Student Affairs offices to complete IT
projects; completing purchase requisitions as needed; evaluating graduation
applications and generating related written communications to students; assisting
in planning the graduation ceremony and coordinating all related recordkeeping
functions, including the production of diplomas/certificates and the
maintenance of graduation statistics; receiving and importing/entering SAT, AP,
ACT, CLEP, and PRAXIS scores for placement into college level coursework or as
credit towards a certificate and/or degree; creating courses and non-courses as
required; receiving and imports electronic transcripts (University System of
Maryland, Parchment, Joint Services, ETS, etc.); communicating with division
and department chairs as needed to equate coursework from other institutions; posting
courses for degree seeking students; communicating with students as evaluations
are completed; retrieving data; creating multiple-run reports with variable selection
criteria to enable others to access needed data; serving on college committees
including the Commencement Committee and others as needed; coordinating Records
Office bi-weekly meeting agendas and distributes summary notes and performing
other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of
Records/Registration Office experience. Master’s degree, in-depth experience
with Ellucian Colleague and SAP Business Objects, and 2 years of supervisory
experience preferred. One evening per week and occasional Saturdays required.
11 on the 12-Month Salary Scale with a minimum starting salary of $48,737, with
actual placement based on credentials. Plus, excellent fringe benefit package.
