 Carroll Community College (Carroll) will offer several music events this October in the Theater in the Scott Center. 

Tickets are $10 general admission, and $5 for senior adults over age 65, faculty, staff and students with ID, unless otherwise noted. Please call Theresa Fourcade at 410-386-8575 for information or emailtfourcade@carrollcc.edu. 

Duende

Duende, a vibrant saxophone and classical guitar duo, will perform a unique concert including the duo's own transcriptions of works from cultures around the world.  Works by Villa-Lobos, Piazzolla, Demillac, Iturralde, and Barrios.

Birth of the Cool

Local jazz musicians present music from the Miles Davis Birth of the Cool album, featuring Russell Kirk on alto saxophone and Brandon Woody on trumpet.

 Master Classes and Workshops:
Duende Classical Guitar Workshop

Classical guitarist Krystin O'Mara will present a student interactive workshop on ways to incorporate classical guitar techniques into any guitarists' playing.  Topics will include RH fingerpicking technique, nail care, performance anxiety, and the benefits of chamber music.
