iServe Event: Westminster Spring Clean-Up
Saturday, April 11, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.

This clean-up project takes place in and around Westminster's Main Street in conjunction with McDaniel College. Volunteers paint, pick up trash, plant, mulch, weed and perform general maintenance on local parks and recreational areas. We coordinate with city officials and other local organizations who supply the projects and oversee the work during the service event. Volunteers are provided with a light breakfast, lunch and a t-shirt, to identify themselves as Clean-up volunteers.

iServe Trip to My Sister’s Place
Friday, April 17, 9:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Help plan, prepare and serve a meal at this center. Volunteers are expected to contribute a food item towards a meal to serve to the shelter clients that day.

Women's Em-POWER-ment Workshop
Monday, April 20, 3:30 - 5:30 p.m.

Learn how to protect yourself, physically and mentally. We'll mix proactive strategies with physical self-defense techniques that will keep you safe. Black-belt instructor, Deb McCarron, from Tri-Star Martial Arts facilitates this workshop. A light dinner is included.

This workshop is for female students only. Sign up online, and visit the Student Life office (A118) to sign a waiver and pay a $5 deposit.
