Involvement in student activities is an important part of a well-rounded education at Carroll Community College. However, Student Life is more than events and activities. The Office of Student Life promotes a sense of belonging for students, whether new or returning. Carroll Community College faculty and staff believe that student involvement in co-curricular activities plays an important role in the learning process. As a result, students can expect to develop greater understanding of and increased competence in leadership, organizational techniques, group processes and interpersonal communication. Students can also develop knowledge and related skills in interests or topics that appeal to them.
Participation in campus activities helps to promote student growth. Student events such as weekend trips, concerts, theatrical productions, lecture programs, student publications, and multicultural programs are some of the special opportunities that are available to students. They are encouraged to offer input into planning and programming. Anyone who is interested in becoming involved or even in possibly starting a new event may contact studentlife@carrollcc.edu.
