Involvement in student activities is an important part of a well-rounded education at Carroll Community College. However, Student Life is more than events and activities. The Office of Student Life promotes a sense of belonging for students, whether new or returning. The office encourages networking among students to develop a feeling of connection to the entire campus.
Faculty and staff at the college believe student involvement in activities that complement academic learning play an important role in the learning process. As a result, you can expect to develop a greater understanding of and increased competence in leadership, organizational techniques, group processes and interpersonal communication. You can also develop your knowledge and related skills in interests or topics that appeal to you.
Participation in campus activities helps to promote student growth. Student events such as weekend trips, concerts, theatrical productions, lecture programs, student publications, and multicultural programs are some of the special opportunities available to students. As a student, you are encouraged to offer input into planning and programming.
