Choosing a major is not always easy!  If you are not sure which major to pursue, speak with an advisor. Once you have an academic direction, select your classes based on your program of study.  Here are Carroll degree programs and their graduation requirements for the 2007-2008 year.

What type of goal may I pursue at Carroll Community College?

  • Educational Opportunities: Student StudyingTransfer Credits to the College or University of Your Choice:
    With proper planning, all course credit that you earn at Carroll can transfer to the four-year college or university that you choose. You are automatically accepted onto a University of Maryland Campus if you have earned an Associate’s degree from Carroll.  Just see an advisor to ensure that all your credits will transfer. 
  • Prepare for Today’s Jobs and Tomorrow’s Careers:
    Both credit and continuing education programs are available to prepare you for rewarding jobs in high-demand careers like nursing, allied health, criminal justice, and teacher education.
  • Earn Computer Industry Certifications:
    Train to become a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS), Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW), Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA), or an A+ or Network + certified Microcomputer Service Technician at Carroll.
  • Receive Your AA Degree In One of Our Many Programs of Study:
    An AA degree will typically require two years (60-70 credits) to complete.
  • Complete Your Bachelor’s Degree at Carroll:
    You can complete your bachelor’s degree in business  or criminal justice at Carroll through the partnership with Mount Saint Mary’s College Professional Accelerated Studies Program. A Bachelor’s Degree will typically require four years (120-130 credits) to complete.
