The Student Activities Finance Board (SAFB) works closely with the Student Government Organization Board (SGO), and is responsible for allocating funds to clubs and organizations.
Budget requests are prepared by campus clubs and organizations and are presented to the SGO Board. The Board determines the appropriateness of the requests, which may be forwarded to the SAFB for review and possible fund allocation.
The SAFB is composed of students, faculty and staff - all appointed by the SGO Board. The SAFB is chaired by the Director of Co-Curricular and First-Year Programs.
SAFB budget request packets are provided in student club mailboxes in April. The next SAFB hearings will be held in May.
Student clubs interested in requesting funds for unanticipated expenses during the 2008-2009 academic year, should contact the Student Government Advisor, Barbara Gregory, at 410-386-8523 or bgregory@carrollcc.edu to arrange a meeting.
Contact the Student Life Office at 410-386-8500 for more information about the budget process.
