The Carroll Community College Foundation has embarked on a Major Gift Campaign to support the community’s college. Carroll has been called the “Jewel of Carroll County” and, simply put, we make Carroll County a better place to live! View Press Release
Through the generosity of local families, businesses, civic organizations, close friends of the College, and 96% of College faculty and staff, the Foundation has raised over $6 million. Our work is not complete until we reach our goal of $8 million to ensure our students are afforded every opportunity to overcome the obstacles of completing their goal and providing a higher quality of life for their family.
There are approximately 174,000 residents in our community. Over the past 25 years, Carroll Community College has touched the lives of more than 135,000 individuals.
More than 90% of our credit students call Carroll County home. They work in our community. They purchase their homes, vehicles, and necessities in our community.
Yet nearly 30% of Carroll County households earn less than a livable wage.
Our goal at Carroll is two-fold – ensure our students are well prepared for the next step in their journey, whether furthering their education or entering the workforce, and to do so carrying little or no debt. This will provide them with far greater options for their future and better position them to give back to their community.
Their dreams can be realized with your support.
In 2018, Carroll Community College celebrates its 25th anniversary, and we look forward to positively impacting Carroll County for the next 25 years and beyond.
In order for the College to continue teaching our students with the latest technologies and learning tools, we have to close the financial gap in order for our students to afford a college education.
It is imperative that we address important needs in order to continue to provide high-quality programs and scholarships and to meet the employment demands and economic growth of Carroll County in the future.
Our funding priorities will provide students necessary support inside and outside the classroom so Carroll County gets the skilled workforce it needs to remain the community we love.
