In August 2016, Lynn Eglseder started CPR with Confidence, LLC to address emergency medical situations, teaching people what to do when faced with the unexpected. Her company offers certification and non-certification classes to health care providers and members of the community.
Eglseder is a licensed Respiratory Therapist who has been a CPR instructor with the American Heart Association since 1978. Her passion is to educate everyone to know how to save a life.
When she searched the internet for help with starting a business, she found Miller—Resources for Entrepreneurs, a service of Carroll Community College.Miller is Carroll County’s go-to resource for entrepreneurs and small business owners, providing the planning, training and community resources to help them start, grow and become profitable. Experience, access to resources and personalized ongoing support help new business owners make their dreams a reality.“I have taken several Miller classes and attended conferences,” said Eglseder. “I have learned so very much. Miller has guided, encouraged and educated me along the way. I could not have accomplished all that I have without them, and I will continue to move forward with their help.” Eglseder trumpets how worthwhile this new direction in her life has been. “People need to know what to do in an emergency before first responder and emergency professionals arrive on the scene,” she said. “I want people to know how to take a deep breath and do the best they can to save a life.”
