Each grade at Carroll is assigned a certain number of quality points:
Calculate your GPA by dividing the total number of quality points earned by the number of credits attempted. Note that transitional courses (such as ENG 001, 002, ALP or MAT 091, 095 or 099) do not have credits attached; therefore, they do not affect your GPA.
19 Quality Points divided by 10 credits = 1.9. This is your GPA You can use this grade calculator to determine your grade in any class. If you have questions about calculating your GPA or to make an appointment with advising, visit starfish on the Lynx portal or call the Advising Office.

You can increase your GPA by repeating a course or improving your study skills. If you repeat a course, count only the attempt with the highest grade. Repeating a course and obtaining a higher grade is the most efficient way of raising your GPA. If you're interested in improving your study skills through tutoring or workshops, contact the Academic Center.
