Westminster, Md., April 20, 2018—Carroll Community College (Carroll) invites the community to attend the SUPER Spring Open House on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The event is designed for high school and transferring students, adult learners and parents with children of all ages. Radio personality Mike Miller from Z104.3 and the iHeartMedia crew will engage participants with games, prizes including a raffle for Kendrick Lamar concert tickets, and more. Refreshments will be served!

“We are thrilled to open our doors to the community for a comprehensive showcase of all that Carroll has to offer,” said College President Dr. James D. Ball. “Participants will discover why Carroll is the number one choice for Carroll County residents to start their bachelor’s degree, certify a skill, explore continuing education job training opportunities, take a personal enrichment class or enroll their children in summer educational camps at the College.”

“There will be a wealth of information and assistance available at the Spring Open House,” said Senior Director Enrollment Development Candace Edwards. “It doesn’t matter if you don’t know where to begin or what you want to do. The first step is to just attend the open house, and we will help guide you so you can get started on your path!” 

Itinerary for the Open House

6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Explore Information Tables – The Babylon Great Hall

Visitors thinking about a major can get answers to their questions, as they find out everything they need to get started for academic credit programs and non-credit career training. Information tables will be staffed by faculty and staff experts that teach and work in these fields. 

6 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. (on-going) Tour the College ­- Meet at the Information Desk

For those arriving at the College for the first time or who have not visited in a while, the College tour stops at key locations throughout the campus to see state-of-the art facilities for learning. Tours are led by Student Ambassadors.

Information Sessions (15- to- 20- minute sessions)

Admissions–– How to get started

This session will outline the application, testing, enrollment and financial processes including financial aid, scholarships and payment plans. Important dates and deadlines will be highlighted.

Engineering Info Session.

Learn more about how you can begin an Engineering degree at Carroll. Talk with College Engineering faculty members about Carroll’s Engineering programs.

  • Learn about Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering Associate of Science in Engineering (ASE)
  • Discuss transfer options for all other Engineering fields
  • Find out which Carroll classes to take in the summer to get on track or to be ahead
