JOB SUMMARY:

The Carroll County Community Mediation Center (CCCMC) seeks a part-time Mediation Coordinator to work 15-20 hours a week with some evening and weekend availability. This is a temporary position: June 1, 2018-June 30, 2019, based on funding.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

The Mediation Coordinator will be responsible for answering phones, informing callers about CCCMC’s services, contacting potential mediation participants to conduct pre-mediation intakes and screenings, scheduling and coordinating mediations with participants, volunteers, and site partners.

 

The Coordinator will co-mediate with volunteers from the CCCMC, provide structured feedback and support for volunteer mediators, complete appropriate reports to referral agencies, assist with the preparation of grant reports and applications, accurately complete and process all paperwork associated with mediation cases, maintain accurate case information using MadTrac database, prepare mediation packets for volunteers, contact volunteers about mediations, trainings, and outreach events, maintain a calendar of mediations, conduct follow up surveys with past mediation and coaching participants, inform and educate community members about the CCCMC and conduct outreach in the community.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

Qualified applicants will have proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, Publisher, PowerPoint, and other software, attention to detail and follow-through and able to execute multiple projects effectively, have excellent oral and written communication skills, able to work well with people of diverse ages, ethnicities and education levels, able to use good judgment, respect confidentiality, and exercise sensitivity.  Inclusive Mediation training a plus. Experience working with volunteers a plus. Experience with MADTrac a plus. Bilingual a plus.
