Pay Grade:     8 ($38,033 - $51,161)            

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

 

JOB SUMMARY  

This position coordinates allied health skills laboratories. This position reports to the Division Chair of Allied Health.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

           
  • Orders equipment and supplies.
  • Maintains current inventory.
  • Sets up laboratories and simulations.
  • Cleans, maintains, repairs or arranges for repair of all equipment used in the allied health skills laboratories. Trouble-shoots basic equipment issues, coordinates and tracks equipment maintenance to include preventative maintenance, instructional manuals and warranty information.
  • Functions as the primary contact person with all medical equipment supply companies and vendors.
  • Coordinates skills packs and student supplies for various courses with faculty and the bookstore.
  • Trouble-shoots simulation equipment.
  • Works independently and communicates effectively with others daily.
  • Uses small office equipment including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems.
  • Uses computer for data entry and for word processing and/or accounting purposes.
  • Learns and uses highly technical computer applications related to simulation technology.
 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:

 
  • Associate Degree in computer technology, business or related field and two years’ experience in the essential job functions listed above
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Certification in simulation technology preferred
 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

 
  • Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
  • Crouching, kneeling, lifting, pulling, pushing, and walking.
  • Feeling and otherwise working with fingers, grasping, handling, and visual acuity.
 

WORK ENVIRONMENT:     

 

Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as office, meeting, and training rooms; use of safe work place practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing with some highly technical applications and new technology systems; avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire and building safety regulations; and observance of traffic signals when driving.

 

SALARY:

This position will be placed on the 12 month Grade 8 college salary scale. Actual salary placement based on qualifications and experience. Position includes an excellent fringe benefit package.
