JOB SUMMARY
The Theatre Technician 1 supports the fine & performing arts and community events of the theater by assisting with technical and facility equipment/systems for events /productions and supporting the construction of scenic sets for theater productions as directed. This position reports to the Facilities Coordinator, Theatre.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of a theatre setting (i.e. workshops for constructing sets, catwalks, elevated booms); use of safe work place practices with tools. Avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire and building safety regulations driving. Work hours may vary <29 hours per week (generally less than 15 hours per week).
SALARY:
This part-time position will be placed on the College Hourly Salary Scale, Grade 1, with a minimum starting salary of $12.00 per hour.
