PTA-213, Treating Special Populations
PTA-213, Treating Special Populations, examines the nature, pathology, and rehabilitation of the spinal cord injured population, traumatic brain injured population, and the cardiorespiratory impaired population. In considering treatment of these populations, an in-depth investigation of intermediate and advanced therapeutic exercise techniques will take place. Students will participate in the study of case study scenarios to maximize integrations and critical thinking skills. Prerequisite: exemption/completion of READ-A-D, admission to the program, and permission of the program director. Two hours lecture, eight hours laboratory each week. Six credits. Six billable hours.
