Description:

CARROLL COMMUNITY COLLEGE seeks a part-time (15–20 hours per week), temporary (no benefits) Project Developer – Drone Technology in the Continuing Education and Training Department working under the direction of the Coordinator of IT and Workforce Development. Responsible for assisting in the expansion of a non-credit Commercial Drone Training Program by working with the Coordinator of IT and Workforce Development and various stakeholders in the development of courses and content that will complement existing drone courses in order to create a comprehensive Commercial Drone Pilot Workforce Training Certificate. Specific duties include: creating drone based courses, including design and delivery of materials, visual aids and technology needs; researching new trends, technologies and innovations in the field of drones and evaluating the potential value for the program; evaluating and measuring the effectiveness of the course content, materials, teaching activities and technologies; aiding in the creation of a complete training pathway that will lead to a Commercial Drone Workforce Training Certificate; communicating ideas clearly with others and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements: High School Diploma/GED and 1-3 years of curriculum or instructional development experience; experience with Commercial Drone Operations; must hold a current Part 107 Remote Pilot License; excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent organizational skills; ability to work both independently and collaborate as part of a team; ability to meet deadlines; strong computer skills; proficient in MS Office; knowledge of emerging drone related hardware and software including; LIDAR, NDVI, Drone Deploy and Pix4D; understanding of the various drone applications in such industries as agriculture, real estate, surveying and inspection; ability to use highly technical computer applications such as; GIS and CAD. May require need to be outdoors on occasion to fly drones.
