Info for Visiting Students

During your Summer and/or Winter break, you can take classes at Carroll and transfer applicable credits back to your 4-year college or university. It’s an opportunity for you to focus on just one class for a short period of time, reducing the number of credits you need to take during the Fall or Spring semester at your 4-year school.

Make sure we have a course that will transfer to your 4-year college/university and follow this checklist to stay on track!

Visiting Student Action List

Immediately

• Submit your application Apply Now (Required if you are new to Carroll or it’s been 2+ years since your last class)

Within 24–48 hours of applying

• Check your email (including spam/junk folders) for instructions to set up your Carroll student email account.

After receiving your Carroll email

• Log in and complete the Visiting Student Interest Form.

Before registering

• Review the Course Catalog. Check prerequisites and check if online classes require in person exams.

After submitting the interest form

• Monitor your Carroll email for next steps from an Academic Advisor.

Before enrolling

• Confirm with your home institution that the course will transfer. If needed, request syllabi by emailing us with course name and section.

Verify your enrollment

• You are not enrolled until you get an email from the records office. You can also check student planning to verify enrollment.

Due dates will be provided by your advisor

• Make your payment. Instructions how to settle your account will be provided by your advisor.

Upon Receipt

• Review the information sheet from the advisor for important information about being a student at CCC.
