Carroll Community College Welcomes Caitlin Christ as Its New Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and College Foundation
Westminster, Md. — Carroll Community College is pleased to announce the appointment of Caitlin A. Christ, Certified Fundraising Executive, (CFRE)as the new Executive Director of Institutional Advancement and College Foundation. In this key leadership role, Christ will oversee the College’s fundraising and community engagement efforts, ensuring that philanthropy continues to drive and sustain the College’s strategic priorities, from workforce development and career pathways to expanding access to education for students and families.
Carroll Community College President Dr. Rosalie Mince welcomed Christ’s appointment. “Caitlin brings more than 17 years of experience leading mission-driven fundraising across education, healthcare, and community organizations,” said Dr. Mince. “Her reputation as a relationship-centered fundraiser and collaborative leader, and her belief in connecting donors’ values to tangible impact, will be invaluable to our mission. We are confident that under her leadership, the Foundation will inspire even greater community support, creating career pathways and expanding opportunity for our students across Carroll County.”
Christ’s extensive background in philanthropy spans roles from stewardship and donor relations to senior leadership guiding comprehensive fundraising strategy. Over the course of her career, she has secured and stewarded six- and seven-figure philanthropic commitments, led integrated annual and major giving programs, and cultivated corporate and foundation partnerships aligned with institutional priorities. Before joining Carroll, she served as Senior Director of Marketing and Development at Everstand (formerly Board of Child Care), where she led a comprehensive advancement program encompassing major gifts, grants, annual giving, corporate partnerships, and strategic communications. Known for building high-performing teams and strengthening donor engagement, Christ has guided organizations through periods of growth and increased philanthropic investment.
“My goal is to connect our community’s generosity to the College’s strategic plan, whether that’s workforce development, career pathways, or creating access to education,” said Christ. “Community colleges are truly shaped by the investment of the people they serve, and I’m honored to help ensure that education remains the most powerful driver of opportunity in Carroll County. When our students succeed, our whole community succeeds.”
A longtime Carroll County resident, Christ is deeply invested in the community she now serves. She holds a Master of Science in Marketing from The Johns Hopkins University’s Carey Business School and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Shippensburg University. She currently serves as President-Elect of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Maryland Chapter. This blend of professional expertise and personal commitment positions her to effectively connect local generosity with the College’s mission.

About the Carroll Community College Foundation:
The Carroll Community College Foundation is the philanthropic arm of the College and a critical engine for student success and community growth. Philanthropic support empowers the College to respond quickly to emerging needs, pursue bold new initiatives, and create opportunities for students that go beyond what public funding alone can achieve. One recent example underscores this impact: a Carroll student who was on the verge of withdrawing from college due to a sudden family tragedy was able to stay in school and complete their education with emergency financial assistance from the Foundation. In that case, donor generosity stepped in when it mattered most, preventing a promising student from having to abandon their goals.
