Pay Grade:     8 (starting salary $19.51 per hour)

This position, under the direction of the Assistant Director of Annual Giving and Special Events, plans and implements all Advancement and Foundation events to achieve goals, ensuring all internal and external constituencies’ expectations are priorities for each event are exceeded. Work 15-20 hours per week with flexibility required to work a combination of morning, day, and some evening hours as well as some weekends.


  • Coordinates a wide array of operational matters as it directly impacts fundraising, friend raising events. Works within defined parameters but provides insights into planning and creative process for events. Juggles a wide array of tasks and prioritizes with some limited direction
  • Provides leadership at all special events. Carries out duties assigned by the Assistant Director and communicates frequently as needed for guidance and direction. Provides leadership during planning, set-up, teardown, and follow-ups at all events.
  • Creates computer graphic design of marketing and event promotional materials. Works with Marketing department and others to assist in positioning materials toward their intended markets. Assists in social media promotion of events within established guidelines.
  • Assists in post event analysis and reflection. Assists in gathering data and engages constituencies for feedback
  • Assists with preparing and delivering training to volunteers. Interacts with volunteers routinely to exchange ideas and to provide necessary information to maximize the impact and satisfaction of our volunteers.
  • Builds and adheres to defined event budget standards. Collects and inputs financial results from events for accurate accounting and analysis of results
  • Maintains accurate records to be entered into the donor database
  • Assists in annual fund preparation and mailings. Offers insights into initiatives to improve them.
  • Assists in alumni events as needed within above parameters
  • Attends and participates in planning event committee meetings with volunteers. Works with college facility staff for set up, planning, etc… as it relates to all events. Coordinates with external providers (caterers, florists, etc….)
  • Use computers for word processing and/or accounting purposes
  • Performs other duties as assigned


  • Associates Degree
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite-graphic design.
  • Three years of related work experience.
  • Must be positive, cooperative and supportive


This work is normally sedentary work which requires exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Additionally, the following physical abilities are required:

  • Hear/talk/communicate – Must be able to exchange information and communicate
  • Visual Acuity/ability to perceive or detect surroundings
  • Mental acuity – Able to focus, concentrate, understand and convey subject matter
  • Repetitive motion (i.e. keyboarding)
  • Stand/sit/walk/able to move or traverse from one area to another


College campus, direct contact with students, staff, faculty and the general public in classrooms, common areas, offices, and campus environments.  Use of safe workplace practices with office equipment; computers for data entry and word processing with some highly technical applications and new technology systems; avoidance of trips and falls; observance of fire and building safety regulations; and observance of traffic laws when/if driving a College vehicle. Work hours <29 per week, generally 15-20 hours.


This position will be placed on the College Hourly Salary Scale, Grade 8 with a minimum starting salary of $19.51 per hour.
