Join us on a guided tour of Cambridge, Maryland, where Harriet Tubman (born Araminta Ross) lived and worked until age 27 when she escaped to freedom. We begin our day learning about her early years, visiting her childhood home and the Bucktown General Store, as well as the Courthouse and Long Wharf. There will be time for photos in front of the Take My Hand mural before visiting the Stanley Institute and The Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitor Center. We finish our day with a home-cooked, old-fashioned fried chicken meal.
Fees include round-trip transportation aboard a motor coach, a guided 3½ hour tour, admission tickets, and lunch. Bus departs from Carroll Community College. Seats are assigned by the date registration is received. Refunds are not available after tickets/meals are purchased.

Twice recognized as one of the best holiday markets in the U.S. by Travel + Leisure, this festive holiday event features handmade works by some of the nation’s finest artisans and the ring-ting-tingling sounds of live Christmas music and strolling carolers. Visit with the traditional jolly old St. Nick, shop handmade ornaments and collectibles, and enjoy festive food, drinks, and much more holiday fun! Grab lunch on your own while sightseeing Historic Downtown Bethlehem, PA, then shop the markets at Christkindlmarkt.

Enjoy the rolling landscapes, savory wines, authentic food, and stunning architecture of the Tuscany region. From the famous spa resort town of Montecatini Terme to Lucca, Florence, and Pisa, discover renaissance walls, Romanesque churches, and medieval streets. Make your way to a Tuscan winery and learn about the art of winemaking as you taste local varieties. Marvel at the ornate façade of the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore. Take in views of the Piazza della Signoria, the center of Medici power, and Santa Croce Square. Capture the gravity-defying inclination of the iconic Leaning Tower in Pisa. Learn the secrets of traditional Tuscan cuisine by partaking in a cooking class, using local ingredients and culinary techniques, then enjoy your freshly prepared meal for dinner. Soak in breathtaking views as you travel to the hilltop village of San Gimignano, one of Tuscany’s most picturesque places.
