Support growing families while preparing for meaningful work in maternal health and birth support. The Perinatal Doula program prepares students to provide non-medical emotional, physical, informational, and advocacy-based support to individuals and families during pregnancy, labor and birth, and the postpartum period. Graduates may work independently, with doula agencies, healthcare systems, or community-based organizations. The program aligns with national doula training standards and prepares students to meet education and documentation requirements associated with Maryland Medicaid doula services. Offered through partnership with The Well and Wise Co. This course is offered in a hybrid in-person/ online format.

Upon successful completion, a Carroll Community College Workforce Training Certificate will be awarded along with a completion certificate from The Well and Wise Co. that allows completers to bill Medicaid for doula services.
