    We are auditioning both of the following plays at the same time. You will be able to choose which plays you are auditioning for. All auditions are open to public.

    Make sure to read/familiarize yourself with both plays and consider them when choosing your audition material. For planning purposes, bring your schedule with you to mark any conflicts on your audition sheet.

    If auditioning for 1984:

    • Please prepare a 1 – 2 minute contemporary monologue of a serious nature.
    • Please read the script before you audition. Scripts are available at the Library Reference Desk and can be checked out on a 3-day loan until Friday, Nov. 10. The roles of Party Members #3 and #4 may be cast with women.
    • Callbacks will be held on Thursday, Nov. 16.
    • 1984 rehearses Jan. 8 – Feb. 21 and performs Thursday – Sunday, Feb. 22 – 25.

     If auditioning for The Importance of Being Earnest

    • Actors should prepare a 1 – 2 minute monologue that demonstrates their ability to play upper-class characters.
    • Callbacks will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15.
    • Earnest rehearses early March – April 25 and performs Thursday – Sunday, April 26 – 29.
