Scholarships

  • The Carroll Community College Foundation offers awards and scholarships to new, returning and transfer students, as well as to students pursuing particular programs or students of special populations. Awards/scholarships are supported through the generous donations of individuals, businesses and organizations in our community.

  • Merit-Based Awards for Incoming High School Graduates

  • To be eligible for these awards, qualified applicants must register and enroll as full-time (12 billable hours) students by July 15th for the Fall term immediately following high school graduation.

  • NEW! Rising STEM Award - $2000

    Are you seeking an exciting career in the STEM field? Science students admitted into our prestigious STEM Scholars Honors program receive $500 per semester for two years—that is 20% off tuition towards an Associate degree. Students who graduate from the Project Lead the Way program offered through the Carroll Career and Technology Center are automatically admitted into STEM Scholars.

  • NEW! Top Ten Award* - $500

    Students who finish in the top 10% of their graduating class with an unweighted GPA of 3.5 or higher are eligible for this scholarship. (This does not include additional funding provided to the Hill Scholars through the Hill Endowment.)

  • NEW! Jump Start Award* - $500

    High school students who, while dually enrolled at Carroll, had earned a minimum of six college credits with a 3.0 GPA or higher are eligible to receive this monetary incentive when they pursue an Associate’s degree at Carroll.

  • *Recipients may re-apply each year.

  • Scholarships for Incoming High School Graduates

  • Commissioners Student Leadership Scholarship** - $1000

    Awarded to one Carroll County high school graduate who has demonstrated academic excellence and leadership qualities through significant contributions to high school activities and/or community groups.

  • Langdon Family Endowed Scholarship** - $1000

    Awarded to one qualifying Carroll County high school graduate demonstrating financial need.

  • David S. & Cathy P. Bollinger Scholarship** - $1000

    Awarded to one graduate of Westminster or Winters Mill High School. Recipient must be enrolled at Carroll full-time, seeking a degree and earning a minimum GPA of 3.0.
