Who Should Apply?

Carroll’s honors programs are built for students who are ready to go above and beyond, both in and out of the classroom. If you’re ready to challenge yourself, take initiative, and make the most of your college experience, you belong in Carroll’s honors community!

Here’s what we look for in a strong candidate:

  • Solid Academic Foundation
A minimum 3.0 GPA shows us that you’re prepared to take on more rigorous college-level work and thrive in an academically challenging environment.
  • Track Record of Challenging Yourself
We value students who have pursued honors, AP, dual enrollment, or other advanced coursework in high school.
  • Active Involvement
Whether it’s through clubs, sports, community service, a part-time job, or leadership roles, we look for students who are engaged, responsible, and well-rounded.
  • Commitment to the Program
Honors students must be willing to fully participate in the program they join, including coursework, capstone projects, co-curricular events, and regular communication with faculty mentors. It’s a commitment—but one that pays off in big ways.
