Cybersecurity Career Navigator

Students in Carroll Community College’s Cybersecurity program benefit from a full-time Career Programs Navigator. The Navigator combines college and career advising with outreach to employers and businesses.

Specifically, the Navigator is responsible for:

Employer Outreach: 

• Promoting the Cybersecurity program and its students to employers
• Locating careers and internship opportunities in the region
• Arranging employer campus visits
• Recruiting employers for Carroll’s annual IT/Cybersecurity Career Fair
• Collecting job market information and hiring trends

Student Support:

• Providing career and coursework advising services personalized for each student’s areas of interest
• Developing resume, interviewing and job search skills
• Connecting students directly with hiring managers
• Coordinating mock interview, security clearance, professional presentation and networking skills workshops
• Assisting students with the industry certification process
