Become a Certified Health Coaches and empower and guide clients to make lasting behavioral changes for their overall health and wellbeing. They are employed in fitness centers, health clubs, wellness centers, insurance companies, clinical settings such as doctors’ offices and hospitals, and can be self-employed. Working hours vary depending on the setting. 

Financial Assistance

Funding is available to help pay for short-term job training. Up to 90% of costs may be covered to complete this training program.

Licensure/certification earned

Students are prepared to take the American Council on Exercise Certified Health Coach Exam.

To become a Certified Health Coach, individuals can enroll in our accredited program at the College. The program includes a combination of classroom and online instruction. Students will learn effective coaching techniques, nutrition principles, behavior change strategies, and communication skills. Successful completion of the program, along with a current adult CPR and AED certificate, and the required exam, leads to certification.

Is a health coach the same as a wellness coach?

While the terms are often used interchangeably, there are subtle differences. A Health Coach typically focuses on guiding individuals to make lifestyle changes that promote overall health, including aspects like nutrition, exercise, and stress management. On the other hand, a Wellness Coach may have a broader scope, encompassing mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being.

Are there limitations on what a Certified Health Coach can do?
