Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Beginning Spring Term, 2021
  • Assisting Athletic Director with lining Lynx Field or other set up duties.
  • Assisting coaches with any equipment set up for home games, if necessary.
  • Serving as ball runner, scoreboard operator, water person, or official scorekeeper during home games.
  • Assisting with putting equipment or tables in storage shed after home games.
  • Other duties as assigned before, during, or immediately after home games.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years of age and have a valid driver’s license
  • Ability to lift 20 pounds
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Available to work afternoons, evenings, and occasional Saturdays

  • None

HOURS NEEDED

  • Hours will vary week to week. Hours may vary from 5 to 10 hours per week depending on game schedule. Most soccer and lacrosse games take place late afternoon. Expect to work for 3-5 hours per game
Students - Application Process:
  • Candidates must complete Carroll's online application to be considered.
  • Complete the Student Employment Application.   
  • Indicate the department(s) for which you are applying.  Only one application is needed.
  • Complete the  FAFSA for Federal Work Study Positions
  • Be registered for at least six credits with a 2.0 GPA
  • If eligible, your application will be forwarded to supervisors with open positions
  • The application will be held for one year, July 1 to June 30. 
Students - What to expect after applying:
  • Interview with the hiring supervisor for the position of interest.
  • If selected, you and your supervisor must complete all federal, state and college forms. This document is obtained from your supervisor or the Human Resources webpage.
  • Complete and submit all federal, state, and college employment forms. The I-9 is submitted to your supervisor and the other forms are submitted to studentemployment@carrollcc.edu
  • Create a work schedule with your supervisor that does not conflict with your class schedule. 
  • When all forms are turned in you and your supervisor will be notified so a start date can be established.
